Ålesund is a stunning Norwegian town, lying at the mouth of the country's famous Geirangerfjord.

The place is especially known for its beautiful Art Nouveau architecture. The centre of Ålesund was destroyed by fire in 1904, and has been almost completely rebuilt in this style, making it look like somewhere out of a fairytale!

If you'd like to find out more about this charming town, why not read my guest blog on the excellent 'Snow in Tromso' website!
